Old World Bistro

I have an idea to open a chain of "old world" bistros. I will call it "A.G. Old World Bistro."
I think our motto is, "Our suppliers are well-known; our recipes are innovative. Try and see!"

This is a challenge these days. My best bet is to bank on great locations.
I think my first locations will be in Iselin, New Jersey, Baltimore, Maryland,
and Norwich, Vermont. I'd like to expand to New York, D.C., and Seattle, Washington.
Then, I could further expand to locations in Canada, Mexico (Cancun, Mexico City), France, and maybe even Australia!

Right now, I think it is important for me to get the "word out" about these ambitions.

I plan to ask family and friends to help with the business. People who may already be on board include
my biological dad, Sean D., Chico, Rob, and Anwesha.

If you want to help too, you can! Just pass my Blog (this website) onto people you know. Look over these ideas,
visit restaurants, return to the blog, and think about what I wrote.

Firstly, to make a bistro work, you have to be comfortable serving cuisine that is semi-casual (something between a sandwich and chicken curry). A sign of a good bistro is how efficiently people are seated. To make an "old world" bistro work, you have to be comfortable serving cuisine that is Mediterranean in "style" (not necessarily origin) and international in appeal. For example, one A.G. original menu item I think I will include is Malaysian salty-milk: a drink that is prepared with fried ricotta cheese in milk (low-fat or whole-milk options).

"Wendy's Old-Fashioned Hamburgers"

Zola is a bistro that claims to serve "new world" fare.
Wendy's is an American restaurant chain that claims to serve "old-fashioned" hamburgers and sandwiches.
My "A.G. Old World Bistro" would be something in-between these two types of establishments.

One of my favorite restaurants it Olive Garden (Italian-American restaurant chain). This is a good business model
for me to work with. The service at Olive Garden is very good, and the food is familiar but exciting.

So that's it for now! I will prepare for these ideas by watching Food Network TV and keeping an eye on Wendy's stock on the NYSE. All you have to do is share this blog with others and get ready to work real hard. I'm always on the look-out for a great fish chef, sommelier, and bartender. I sometimes wonder how many of my friends and enemies wonder
who exactly my wife is.
She's met a small group, and I've shared her photos with an even smaller
group. Her name is Firestar, she was Spider-Man's girlfriend.
Just kidding. Close though.
